PAH Health Symposium 2024
The 63rd Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) Health Symposium returned to Brisbane from Tuesday 27–Friday 30 August 2024. This year's theme was The Big Picture – local healthcare in a global society.
This year, the committee was excited to announce the symposium was held as a truly hybrid event, encouraging in-person attendance while also offering an online experience for attendees to access the content via a virtual platform.
More than 1,000 delegates from across Queensland Health services and research institutes attended the 2024 PAH Health Symposium. We look forward to welcoming you again next year.

Associate Professor Karen Block
University of Melbourne - Principal Research Fellow, Nossal Institute for Global Health and Deputy Director Melbourne Social Equity Institute
Karen is an Academic Convenor of the Anti-racism Hallmark Research Initiative and Deputy Director of the Melbourne Social Equity Institute. Her research includes a range of projects involving immigrant and refugee-background populations, focused on anti-racism, health inequalities, gender-based violence, and working in collaborative partnerships with communities and community-based organisations.
